by Marsha Ershaghi-Hames and Jen Farthing

On June 20th, LRN hosted a roundtable discussion in Boston. This gathering was part of a new series of events being held around the country to bring together peers among our Partner community. The interactive event was lively and free-flowing, and covered topics ranging from measuring program effectiveness, to privacy and information security risks to education strategies. Participants represented a spectrum of industries and organizations, including Alkermes, Hasbro, Iron Mountain, Liberty Mutual, Pegasystems, Philips Healthcare, and Raytheon.

Highlights included an exchange of peer best practices around driving more top-level leader accountability around cultivating sustainable workforce cultures. The new lens on GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) also surfaced in some of the planning discussions around 2018 initiatives. With several organizations expanding their global footprint, reaching the offline and remote workforce population remained a strong priority, and we explored methods to deliver micro-learning experiences to help drive knowledge retention.

Other topics include strategies to sustain an effective program post CIA (Corporate Integrity Agreement), simplifying policies to translate into more practical application, shortening compliance periods, and delivering shorter, consumable content.
